I swaped my old ka24de from my 93(RIP) in to my 89.I bought a new clutch with pressure plate, throw out bearing, pilot bearing, slave, and master cylinder from auto zone plus I got my flywheel resurfaced. Now that every thing is installed the clutch is really easy to push down and it starts to slip from 3000 rpm and then it will catch at about 5500rpm. I have also removed the damper box. I thought there was air in the lines so I bleed the system about 20 times. Then I put my old slave, and master cylinder back on and bleed it about 15 times. Still it felt the same way. So I reinstalled my new slave, and master and bleed it again and still nothing. So far I have put about 150 miles on it. If I stay under 3000rpm no noise and no sliping. What could it be.

is there any chance that there is oil on the clutch disk?

give it a chance to break in, takes about 500 miles durring which time you are supposed to take it easy.

No there wasnt any oil on it when i put it in. I havent beat on it just a few times to 5500 to see when it would catch again. What about the pedel feel whys it so easy to push down. Is there any replacement onther then the stock one that is better. If so Ill take this one back and get a different one. I heard the 240z clutch workers better but what is involved to do so.

Sounds like your pedal is out of adjustment. there is a shaft with a 12mm(?) lock nut on it that comes from the master to the pedal. This is used to adjust the freeplay in the clutch. I had the same problem on my sr. You might want to do a search to find out exactly how much freeplay is supposed to be there...GOOD LUCK!
