Yesterday I got a cluster from a part-out sale to replace mine because my tach and speedo are not working. The main question is, how do I adjust the odometer to the correct mileage on the original odometer?

You don't- that would be rolling back your odometer which is beyond illegal...Federal stuff my man.

I understand what you're saying, but I would be making the odometer read the correct mileage. The cluster I got off Craigslist actually is at 140K and the original cluster of the car is at 180K. So in effect, if I DON'T roll the odometer to match, I'll be installing a "younger" odometer.

I hope I'm making sense...

to legally do it, take the car and have it done by a nissan dealership. some may tell you no but most will do it for a fee.

Note: they will require you odometer to be working correctly.
