and you know from experience?

i have the same exact setup, i got the 3 peice and i am also running a header and it sounds soooo great. its not loud at all and at wot it has this nice growl, i almost want to yank it off and keep it for my other car but im going in a boosted direction with her. this is with the silencer on btw, i havent tried it w/o, theres really no point. a heads up, that test pipe only lines up one way or your exhaust will hit the floor, i was on my last combo before i figured it out lol. enjoy it, its nice for the price.

mine is slightly different was checking out my pics but its very similar.

3 inches all the way with 4 inch tip, i didnt even notice the tip size until it arrived lol i was like..f*** this is gonna sound like a civic. i was surprised, its real nice. post up your installed pics and sound clips for the haters.

^^^^^^ i agree, it's not the test pipe that will make it loud btw. it's the lack of a resonator.

honestly, excellent. the sound and better flow are addicting in a NA aspect. i honestly dont think i will run another kade w/o a header, if i decide to ultimatly keep the s14 stock anyway.

Warped, how does it sound? Does it drone or make your ears ring at high rpm's? That's what mine does, it sucks.

More than likely it's from SSAutoChrome. It's an Apexi N1 Dual knockoff.

I have a s***ty ebay exhaust too...silencer is like...welded in or something. I can't pull it out (that's what HE said) and it sounds like a d!ck going through a meat grinder. I hate it so bad.

Your silencer is welded in? The 2 SSAutoChromes that I went thru in Naples (kept smashing the canister on BS) were just one bolt/nut and yank it out. The second one was much harder to yank because it was in there good, but if there are no tack weld dots/bubbles, you should be ok. I had a CA, so mine sounded kinda awesome until you come of the throttle and it kinda gurgled a bit. But a resonator would have definitely cured that bubbling sound. Hell, eBay exhausts aren't things you should have an issue with. I just wouldn't buy any eBay items that had moving parts like suspension or turbos.

i dono where ya'll live but in nyc you won't last very long with a 3" exhaust on a n/a ka without a silencer. i dono why people say 3" ebay exhausts on a n/a sounds "sooo good" there's nothing great about a loud fartcan whether it's a civic or a 240, they still sound like rice. i see a few s13's running around with those ghetto ebay exhausts farting everywhere but barely moving. just like flat black 240's you guys are making the 240's look/sound VERY close to the ricey civics.

agreed on the silencer removed, mine is still in and it sounds excellent, but im 100% positive it will sound like douche removed. mine was trashed and i got a good deal on the header and the entire exhaust. 60 local for the header and 175 shipped for the full cat back and test pipe.

nice to see the rice police is all over this thread ....i think people forget why we modify our cars...

and its not to appease everybody else :p

if you like the 3" piping on n/a, i say rock it. I drive my 240 with and w/o the silencer. Driving behind it in my quiet 200, the 240 sounds great with a deep growl (resonated btw).

and 240's are as common as civics....i see more 240's around than civics nowadays...

even with sr20's you're still just bouncin around with a 4 cyl....

so many high and mighty forum kings

the exhaust pics look nice btw, so shiny makes me think back to when my exhaust came in years ago

i had this exact exhaust and test pipe set up. it sounds very nice. but i had a lot of problems. the resonator hit my driveshaft, so that had to be shaved down. and the rear hangers snapped off while driving one day. so, be ready... you get what you pay for. but honestly, the exhaust note was nice. no buzz or rasp...

im working on a custom set up now... im done buying ebay exhausts that fall apart on me...

This exhaust sucks a**. Read if you're considering buying it.

Hangs way too low, and the hangers break within a few months.

Not to mention on an N/A KA only the pipe on the inside of the car gets any use. Within a few days you'll see the carbon build up on one tip only. With a little more driving only one pipe will distort, the other one will look brand new. Even after beating on my car all day one exhaust tip stays cool.

Don't buy this. I'm literally driving around open downpipe because of how much of a pain this exhaust is. Here's a pic of it in my backyard right now.

I had to modify the rear mount after the hangers broke off the first time (and brought some of the frame with it, lol) to work, so that's what that bar is. It's off the car right now because both middle mounts snapped off.

But you can see that only the right pipe looks used at all. Maybe 5000kms on this exhaust and all of the hangers have broken. The lip of my car is about 4 inches off the ground. The exhaust is 2.

Oh yeah. It goes real close to the driveshaft and hits on the subframe if you've got rubber mounts and stock engine mounts. I mounted the exist solid to the frame to stop the banging, and now have solid engine mounts.

Don't buy cheap ebay exhaust s***.
