Since you guys are better-versed in new tech than I am, here's my question:

I have Verizon, and am due for a replacement. Currently using an Audiovox 9500, which has been a good piece of equipment...

I can get anything Verizon has for at or under $100 for free (I have the "new every two" program), and I prefer a flip-style phone...

What's good?

I have a LG LX camera phone that has worked fine for me it was $80.00 the depending on the lighting is how to depend on the the quality of the picture and the reception is good for me and battery can on average go for 2 days before needing to be charged. But there are alot of other phones out there that are good also.

I got the motorola v265 in Nov, not really sure how I feel about it. The speaker phone - the reason I got it - is awesome. DC is hands-free, so I clip it to the visor and use it from there with no problems - until 75-80, when its harder to hear with the road noise, but still quite usable. The reception is also awesome, and the phone is in my opinion the best looking Verizon phone. However, the screen is small, the camera is near worthless - if you want any detail - and there are some intuitive features missing - like a date on the screen, alarm features like daily/weekly/weekday, text messaging isnt the best either. Overall Id say it rates a 7, while my old LG VX4400 might have been a 7.5 - but didnt have speaker.

If you dont need speaker, and dont mind a little bigger flip, I would have gone w/ the LG VX7000, maybe look at the Samsung A670 - I know a few people w/ it and they like it.

Im using the LG vx6100 through verizon right now, it's a decent phone. The camera is decent, i've seen better on phones much older, but it was also free on the new with two or whatever plan we have also. The battery life is awsome compared to my last phone, only lost 1/4 battery after a full day of using it. It won't even drop a bar after almost 2 days of just idleing, maybe 1 or 2 calls.

K Im on my 3rd Verizon phone in a year

1) LG VX6000-pretty popular phone and has decent reception, good features, pretty good camera IMO. If you want more info than this lemme know.

2) LG VX4500-The best speaker phone in Verizon's fleet IMO. Battery lasts a while too. No camera, but a damn good phone and inexpensive as well. Simple and to the point. Again, If you have any more questions just ask.http://www.verizonwireless.com...=1514

3) Motorola V710-DAMN nice phone, but pretty steep price(Maybe not for you with the $100 thing). It does it all though. Videos, camera, large screen, mp3s, speaker phone, decent memory, ect...I bought it slightly used just before Christmas and finally activated it this week(lazy). I love it and its my favorite Verizon phone. Ask away if needed.http://www.verizonwireless.com...=1570

Here's some additional links of phones some of my friends have.

I like it and I wouldve gotten this one if I didnt have the money for V10.http://www.verizonwireless.com...=1579

^^^Same, but I just wanna add that I believe the VX6100 is the replacement for the VX6000, but with a speaker this time. http://www.verizonwireless.com...=1575

HOPE THAT HELPED!

EDIT: I think I forgot about the VX7000 not a bad phone at all.

My 6000 phone gets way better reception then any other verizon phone I've used. Hell my dad's even considered trading his phone in for the same model.

However... I would love to get one of those video phones sometime.
