I will. He's getting his seats custom done as well, so the car is scheduled to be finished in next week or so.... I will post when he gets it out.

Thanks! Really enjoyed doing his set. We took it to a whole new level for me as I usually get mostly interiors or exterior parts, but, not usually 25+ pieces..... LOL Seems to a be a trend now that I've got friends competing in the show car market.

Heres a few other cool projects I've done:

Here's another BMW I did work on:

Is this a carbon fibre "like" wrap or actually wrapping with real CF?

Real carbon fiber. I grab 60" wide rolls; usually 10-15 yrs/order. Both 2x2 (most common), 1x1 and various composite cloths; red kevlar/black CF (running this in my car now and lovin' it!), blue/black and orange/black.

Here's a picture of the rolls:

Here's some of the parts progression pictures I didn't previously post.... You can see how the parts progress from stock, to initial wrap, after trimming, and finally the finished part...

Nice. Great job :)

I've seen the standard "wraps" that people do and it's not real CF so it's good seeing such nice quality using the real thing.

Thanks! I really enjoy the wrapping and what I create from the process.... Spent a lot of time researching and testing and some 2,000 pieces later, I think I'm finally at a level that I want to be as far as quality..... :ohno:

Fantastic wrapping job - a LOT of CF. I won't judge, but a LOT of CF. :)
I'm lame but I would have done a tad less (sorry - someone had to be that guy). You did an INCREDIBLE job with this. The parts actually look like CF. EDIT: I'll leave this gaff here... it IS real CF. Really, really badass.

I would have gone with the upper doors, clock surround, and perhaps center console.... ahh hell - and mirrors.

LOVE the E46 - it reminds me of the Fahrenheit GTI (I'm a fan- don't hate me).

edit: also... g'damn it feels great to be back on NICO. Should probably change some pics... :)

Thanks! Really appreciate the compliment. It is essentially exactly how you make CF moulded parts, but I use the original part as the sub-structure to ensure correct/factory fitment when installed. The carbon is permanently bonded to the part through the prep and resining process. Most CF moulded parts use some type of substructure (plastic or fiberglass) to secure the attachment points and act as a base to lay the CF cloth to, unless its an overlay (attached using double-sided tape).

I love my e46 and firmly a BMW guy for the foreseeable future (I want to build a M3 e30 track car hopefully in the spring), but can definitely appreciate other fine cars and the G35 is definitely a fine car. Both the G35s and G37s are beautiful cars and I love the lines!

Another point is the quality of the construction and fitment of the parts; both excellent. Having worked on numerous manfuacturers cars from Ferrari 360s, Mercedes C-class, Acura, BMW, Volvo, etc., I really like working on the G35 parts! Excellent construction and excellent fitment! :woot:
