Hey guys...I just got a 95 SE with an SR swap...I was wondering if any of you had advice on what things i should look for mechanically that could potentially go wrong. It has an s13 Blacktop. I guess any symptoms of failure or wear or anything....how to tell if its a clean swap etc...Common things that go wrong...Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

many people spin bearings. make sure the oil is good and that the crank spins pretty freely when the car is off and out of gear.

check compression and leakdown.

make sure you've no vac leaks or fuel leaks.

test the electrical to make sure everything is working without sparks flying everywhere.

AC? make sure that works if they claimed it does.

With the motor on, go check the color of the smoke out back. If it's grey/white, or blue or just puffing black like an old train you've got some issues to resolve or if the exhaust stinks like rotten eggs or stings the eyes.

rotten egg smell = cat on the way out suggesting other problems.

burning eyes and sinuses = the fuel mix is a bit off
