Hey people,

I was wondering since I just bought a 91 s13 if there was anything that I should be replacing on a 140k mile car specific to my car beside the usuals (hoses, belts, plugs, etc.)? Thanks in advance

When I got my '91 (with 140k, wow a coincidence) I did all the basics first-Brakes, belts, plugs and wires, filters, distributor cap and rotor-the basics to get it on the road as soon as I could. I failed inspection the first time because I needed a speedometer (HUD didn't work) and I needed to loosen up the door locks because they were "too tight for safe operation" (stupid reason to fail, but some WD40 fixed it up.)

After reading quite a few posts on this site about the timing chain I was scared into replacing it. The car now has 143k on it and still runs fine and had near perfect compression test results, so thats all I know to recommend.
