New car owner problem with burnouts and doughnuts

when i am doing doughnuts i leave it in 1st and just hit it down. it hit 7000 rpms and i slamed the brakes is that bad for the motor being up that high??? how can i better my techniques???

lol i guess i could do that but then again i was just playin around with my new car. Only had if for 2 days so far and LOVEN it. Its not as fast at my Z34 Lumina that was in the 14s but i still like this car much much more

you probably shouln't be taking a 240 to 7k, and I'm not sure how you're doing it unless you keep hitting the rev limiter.

Mine doesn't even hit the limiter at 7k, its sooner than that. 6800 I believe.

Don't do that, you're putting a big strain on your car for no reason, why keep in if first? Whenever my friend does donuts he lets it hit the limiter once, then shifts to second and keeps doing them....Oh yeah, he burnt out his clutch doing burnouts and donuts, burnt it out REALLY quickly.

Hmm...my rev limiter hits just above redline...like 6600. It's pretty damn low. I don't know how in the hell you are hitting 7K (thinking you aren't, you just think you are).

Keep in mind this kid probably has a 91-94 which redlines ~6900
