So I finally let go of my I30 yesterday, after nearly 5 years of driving it. I now own a 99 Maxima GLE, which is a familiar face around here, as you will see below. I had grown tired of my Inifniti and had been wanting to get back in a 4th gen for a while and this one had everything I had always wanted on one, so it was an obvious decision. This one definitely won't be going anywhere for a long time though ;)

Also, I had to obviously to out a new screen name since i'm not driving an A33 anymore. I know people will probably still get confused anyways, but I haven't disappeared :gapteeth:

So on to the pics! These were taken at Jeremiah's house before he came up here, because I haven't been able to take any here yet. It's been raining too, so it's kinda dirty now.

I'm confused. You're here, but you're not here. You are him, but you are also you. No, no, this doesn't make any sense. ?+2/!= eggroll

Looks really clean. That kit isn't too gaudy either. My only gripes are the black hood and smoked corners (They look smoked. Are they smoked?). I'm just a huge fan of uninterrupted white cars.

It's a CF hood and not just painted black. Looks good in person.

Yeah normally i'm not a fan of kits, but this is just a simple lip kit, so I like it. It has one piece Cefiro headlights with projectors in them and in the fog lights. The hood is carbon fiber too, which again normally I don't go for - but I dig it on this car. I have been dying for a pearl white car though, so this definitely scratches that itch.

Paint the hood white? It'll still be carbon fiber underneath. Just pearl white externally.

So... Who were you before? I'm kinda confused about your identity but your new car is certainly awesome. Enjoy your new car.

Saw this on the bookface. I didn't know a username change was going to accompany it, however. And I know I'll be one of those who gets confused for a while.

Anyway, congrats. Hopefully you'll have less issues to deal with on this than the I30. Looks pretty clean too.

I'm not a huge fan of pearl white cars though. Working in the auto paint industry made me notice how bad the paint job always looks on them. If painted well, they are stunning. Unfortunately, they are never painted well from the factory...

I usually hang out in Gen Chat, Learned'd, and stop by the Maxima forums. I'm one of the web/graphics guys around here and I help keep everything in line.

Don't feel bad though, I honestly have no idea who you are aside from some posts i've seen here in Gen Chat. If I venture into other forums, it's usually for deleting posts, banning, or checking in on threads that get out of hand.

Yeah, I probably could've kept the old username, or just changed to A32 - but I figured it was a good time to try a different username.

I think I worked out all of the bugs in the I30 a couple of months ago, but even with that I was ready for a change. After dropping that much money on it in repairs, it made it hard to invest any money in mods for it.

You'd be impressed with the paint if you saw it in person I think. I looked it over today and it's painted really well - it looks really sexy :naughty:

Yeah, the paint on it is pretty awesome. It'll look way better after a coat of wax. Just like my old 95.

Yeah it took me a while yesterday to decide on what to use. I thought about just changing to A32, but I didn't like it. Plus Kenny is MaximA32, so I figured there was enough on staff already :)

We can kick Kenny off staff and manually change his name.

Perhaps a name not related to your car would have more continuity?

I think I'm gonna go in and change it to Cher. Or Madonna. Or maybe Whitney. :)

LOVE the Maxima, Chris. And I think the A33 suits Tibbsy better anyway. Good stuff.

We don't have to do anything. He will do it to himself again eventually :lolling:

I considered it, but I couldn't really come up with something I like. I doubt i'll change again anyways... A33 was pointless to keep though.
