1. Noticed a small tear (1/2") in the passenger side door upholstery, where the fabric wraps around the door, close to the metal, mid-way up the door. How to go about either fixing this or making sure it doesn't get worse.
2. Do the "Curb Rash" guys who fix this type of thing do a good job? 1 Wheel is bad, 2 others could be touched up.
3. Driver's side Fog Light lens is cracked - Heard the Nissan Sentra 07-08 assembly was a cheap fit (and plastic, so no more rock+glass=$) - Any thoughts on that?
4. Car has 55K+ miles on it - Staring @ 60K service soon - Have a trusted Turkish mechanic (9+ years) - Works on Japanese cars virtually exclusively - Should he be able to, given a list, do the things required?
Not necessarily a car guy here - Just a guy who bought a '97 Infiniti I30 back in 2000 with 59K miles on it and now am going to be selling it to the aforementioned Turkish mechanic - With nearly 270K miles - Love the brand - He loves my old car (he should, he knows it by heart).
Thanks in advance -
Hello bigsikk, I just bought a M35 the same year with a cracked fog light on pass side. Appears if you hit the curb too hard this will happen. There was a skid mark under the corner of my front pass bumper. Had the dealer replace it, I think the part from infinity was 129 bucks. The problem is getting to it. As with many things to do with the lights on this car the best way to access it is by taking the tire off and removing the fender skirt.
Anyways, I replaced the belts, cabin filter and air filter. Belts are really easy on M35. You will find you may need to go to NAPA to get the air filter its not a common type. Still learning about the car. This forum is your best resource for information.
