Any advice on best quality + value floormats - I have the OEM w/Infiniti symbol - Starting to look a bit tired - Thx again
I really like my all weather mats that i got for my M. They are a perfect custom fit (not just a rectangle like from walmart) and are real durable rubber. They are easy to clean and keep my carpet spotless. I got them for winter time but i like them so much i just keep them in year round. You can see them here at the bottom. They also have the infiniti logo on them and come in a few diff colors. post5269301.html?hilit=all%20weather%20mats#p5269301 I paid around $90 for mine at my local dealership bc i didnt want to wait for them if i bought them online. You might be able to find them a tad bit cheaper.

I had to post it thrice to get thanked, my second post was a link to my first my first post 20 months ago, and my third post was a link to that second post that was 14 months ago! But no matter, post a link to your link and I'll thank you in spite of that. :dblthumb:

1. Noticed a small tear (1/2") in the passenger side door upholstery, where the fabric wraps around the door, close to the metal, mid-way up the door. How to go about either fixing this or making sure it doesn't get worse.
2. Do the "Curb Rash" guys who fix this type of thing do a good job? 1 Wheel is bad, 2 others could be touched up.
3. Driver's side Fog Light lens is cracked - Heard the Nissan Sentra 07-08 assembly was a cheap fit (and plastic, so no more rock+glass=$) - Any thoughts on that?
4. Car has 55K+ miles on it - Staring @ 60K service soon - Have a trusted Turkish mechanic (9+ years) - Works on Japanese cars virtually exclusively - Should he be able to, given a list, do the things required?

Not necessarily a car guy here - Just a guy who bought a '97 Infiniti I30 back in 2000 with 59K miles on it and now am going to be selling it to the aforementioned Turkish mechanic - With nearly 270K miles - Love the brand - He loves my old car (he should, he knows it by heart).

Thanks in advance -
Hello bigsikk, I just bought a M35 the same year with a cracked fog light on pass side. Appears if you hit the curb too hard this will happen. There was a skid mark under the corner of my front pass bumper. Had the dealer replace it, I think the part from infinity was 129 bucks. The problem is getting to it. As with many things to do with the lights on this car the best way to access it is by taking the tire off and removing the fender skirt.

Anyways, I replaced the belts, cabin filter and air filter. Belts are really easy on M35. You will find you may need to go to NAPA to get the air filter its not a common type. Still learning about the car. This forum is your best resource for information.

Thx for all the help - Cleaned her up a bit this weekend - Noticed 1 thing that my OCD is struggling with...

Previous owner let their kid eat in his car seat - There is "crud" in some of the perforated seat holes...Tried several different leather cleaners (Lexol, etc.) and different cleaning styles/techniques - Can't get the crud out!

Any tips?

Tooth pick.

I had an idiot friend eat chocolate even after I told him not to (and he ended up losing a piece under his a** and then it melted and all that jazz).

I used a combination of cleaner, rubbing, cloth and toothpick. Got most of it out, but yeah...it was a PITA.

'preciate it - Should've thought of that.

Anyone tried the Zaino products yet? Gonna give it a shot.

Have noticed the phantom harmonic/buzz/grind sound last few days when I'm slowly accelerating and turning...Grinding my teeth...Have read all the stuff on here (I think) re: this issue - Never saw a definitive fix - Was it a redesigned rack/pinion? Should I be bracing myself for a big ticket fix?

Please help if you know anything - Thanks, in advance...

Bill

In response to the Q about finding good quality OEM floor mats for the M ...
I found these on Ebay and they are VERY close to OEM in quality and perfect fitment. These are considerably less than the dealer price for front AND rear sets - and yes they have the logo on all three mats!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/190801429980?ss ... 1439.l2649

Shipping took about a week - maybe alittle less.

You are correct sir!
But the M mats don't have the logo (dont have a clue why not) and I think thats the place that told me its just for front (2 peices). I still nearly bought that exact thing until I saw the 'no logo' bit.
