here is the problem with buying a m3 04-06 IMO:

they are stuck in an awkward place in the bmw market. the 335i is faster and cheaper. the current m3 (09) is a beast and blows away the old m3s (330hp). i really think we will see a depreciation acceleration and less interest in the 04-06 m3 in the forth coming years. add the 135i and it really makes this issue even more cloudy. it's your money, but that's just my 2 cents.

I wonder if they'll send him the gray NICO hat or the black one? I think the black ones are cooler.

Which Evo?

I don't trust Mitsubishi for the most part, but the EVO is the EVO.

I wish they didn't make it so heavy though

hands down the m3. As the years went on the sti and evo both got progressively uglier

Ugly or not, the M3 will always be the ultimate lying machine...oh wait...sorry...Ultimate pie-making machine...$#it that's still not right.......

Ultimate German Nightmare?

They're powerful and they look great. But they will always be bimmers. They will always be excessively expensive to repair. And the EVOs and STIs will mod and pass you all day long!!! lol

That last part isn't necessarily true. I just don't have a lot of respect for bimmers after the 2 that I drove. Never drove an M, so I'm not sure.

I'd stick with the AWD. Subarus are also one of the safest cars manufactured and they make a very small eco footprint in comparison to other manufacturers. If only their design team would get a clue.

agreed. seriously, why buy an old m3? the best you can hope is that it isnt abused too much. its going to be ridiculously expensive to keep running

evo/sti? are you joking? insurance on those, will be sky high. i suggest broadening your horizons.

How about a WRX and you make it an STI? Then the insurance company won't know how fast it is
