Hello friends and FX devotees, I am new to the forum and am seriously considering the purchase of a used 2009 FX 35. Is there any know defects or special considerations that I should be aware of before I make my final choice? I currently drive a 04 FX 35 that I purchased when it was 1 yr old. It was a fleet car for Enterprise before I bought it. I have loved!! and enjoyed the car very much and have had no trouble whatsoever with it. I am looking at a car at the dealership that services my FX and want to make sure that I am well informed about any potential down sides to the car. Thanks for your help.

Kallen....I was seriously considering selling my M45 for the 09 FX. Love the style and drive. The only negative aspect to the Fx is it's 7 speed transmission. So I read....

I will probably wait another year for it to tank in value before I pick one up.

If you get an '09 FX then get the FX50 instead. You will appreciate the smooth power of the 5.0 liter V8 engine.

The issue has been addressed through a flash update. Test drive the fx35 if you have not done so already, it's about on par with the fx45 as far as acceleration. It's plenty fast for me.

I would have to agree that the Fx50 would be the better choice if you can afford it or find one now as there are not too many stocked any more. As for the 7 speed transmission issues, once I had the re-flash done, ¡t now shifts perfectly.
