New camshaft position sensor wont fit.

I'm having an issue on my 05 Spec V where I am getting an intermittent service engine soon flashing light with a serious missfire. I replace the camshaft position sensor but the new one has the bolt hole on the opposite side of the original and I must twist the connector around for it to fit. However it will not stay snug and keeps popping off. Oddly enough even when it is completely disconnected the car will usually run fine. Won't even throw a code.

Going to get codes pulled now just to see. But was wondering if anyone has run into this. Thanks.

Update:
Only code it's throwing is cyl 2 missfire.
