I was driving around yesterday and i smelled something burning. It was the rear left rotor. I took off the caliper (which was very tight and wouldnt budge) and turned the piston back in and it seems to be working fine right now. What would cause the caliper to sieze up like that? Does it need to be replaced?

The very least, I'd rebuild it with new seals and such.

Now the right rear did it to me today! On the way to work im guessing it seized up again. Then the car sat at my job for 4 hours and i drove it home and everything worked fine! Is it the calipers?

check the pads for uneven wear or accellerated wear. i've seen where one caliper seized, and from causing the brake fluid to boil, locked up the other caliper.
