After a few track events, and 10K miles of driving, the Hawk pads I was running (on stock Brembo rotors) were pretty shagged.

Not being one to mess with resurfacing rotors, I opted for some Powerslot drilled and slotted rotors and a set of Ferodo DS2500 pads (these came highly recommended, evewn over the Hawk pads).

The Ferodo pads appear, at first glance, to have a coarser and perhaps "softer" composition than the Hawks. I figured between the drilled / slotted rotors and the coarser pad compound, these things would sound like a wood chipper.

After a proper bedding-in procedure, I can report that I was WAY off. These are incredible. ABS engages WAY sooner, which means lockup occurs sooner, and initial "bite" is much more aggressive. Pedal feel is pretty similar, with a little more feedback. Noise is about the same.

Did a couple pretty aggressive stops from 80 mph, which would create some "gassing" fade on the old set - No more gassing, probably due to the slotting.

Can't wait to hit an HPDE with these and see how they do diving into a corner.

Sounds cool,

I'm thinking about heading to speedworld next Saturday night or the night after. I'd love to check out your brakes.

I wish hawke or anyone else made parts for the 07+ sedan.

I hate how my front wheels are covered in brake dust, usually after day of driving right after a car wash... so much!

Try WAXING your wheels with whatever wax your using on your car. Then you can dust the wheels with a car duster like you do the car everyday....

you are dusting your car everyday right?

Sometimes I sneak out to the garage to watch my G35 sleep... thats normal right

REAL drivers don't mind brake dust - Dustless pads are crap and as a rule don't have a good "bite".

There's always a tradeoff for performance.

Good tires = Don't last long.Good brakes = Don't last long.

I'm 2 miles from there, hit me up ahead of time and we'll try to meet up. Might even make a run out to the track with ya.

Ferodo's are awesome pads...they are one of the world leaders in perf. pads for all cars. I had them on my SVTF, very nice, only problem is they dust alot...which mean weekly washing of the wheels lol.
