Car: datsun 240Z turbo conversion

Help needed please . I am restoring an old race boat in the UK. It is fitted with a 240Z motor that has been marinised and Turbo charged. Recently whilst running it up to 5k revs started misfiring and blowing smoke through sump breather. Suspecting a broken ring or worse have started a full stripdown. On removing rocker box discovered that one cam follower has jumped out , does not appear damaged. I suspect low oil pressure. everything else appears to be in good condition. Will continue to strip engine down But would like to hear if anyone has had similar and reasons.

Interesting. Do you have any pictures of the suspect damage?
