I think he mentioned painting becuase I talked about painting over spider cracks in the fiberglass..
But as Blake said, finding a good paint shop is one thing, but no matter how good the paint shop is, chipped or spider cracked fiberglass is a b.i.t.c.h. Again, many of the problems come from the imperfect build of the fiberglass kit in the first place...and then the stress added when trying to get it to fit properly... not to mention the cracking and braking that occurs when you accidentally scrape a curb. In regards to nicks and scrapes, it's much easier to sand down and re paint urethane than it is to re-fiberglass a chipped fiberglass bumper...
No matter how bad urethane could be, it will never be as problematic as fiberglass!
