14.4 @ 99.5mph

I'd say I'm onto something since I keep getting faster. maybe it's more than just Vroom Vroom sounds cool.

Oh yeah, almost forgot that tonight I had over a half tank in the car so it was a little heavier than the previous times to the track.

Another thing is that the cas still cannot cut faster than a 2.2sec 60ft time. I can't wait to add the 300zx TT diff and get the UpRev tune, easily in the 13's.

Still, some of the magazine tests show their times faster than mine. I have no idea how they did that other than possibly them receiving a "factory mule" or a wednesday car. Stock - and I mean stock no mods I ran 14.7 @ 96mph. Maybe I need to change my "100,000 mile" plugs?? I know I will change them before my powertrain warranty is over just in case those valve cover O-rings start leaking I can get them replaced under warranty.

I'm interested in that uprev tune. Would it be worth it to get it for the m35?

That thread is so old and is y34's. Caug I believe got his y34 to run a 13.9 at 100 miles an hour.

Ken? Are you racing at Firebird? The 2000 ft elevation is a big difference to the sea level the car mags get their times. The DA is a big issue too. Last night here at ABQ Dragway the DA was 7480ft and our elevation is 5300. Lots of cars running slow times.

Yeah, firebird or fire chicken as we like to call it. We have another track up a ways called speedworld, but it is over 70mi away where firebird is only 12mi from my house. Normally people run faster at speedworld by about 2 tenths.

Maxnix - did you even take 4.5 seconds to read my post you dolt?

How hot was it? I've found the best 1/4 mile times are usually had in the mid 60s or so for temp. Too cold, no traction, too hot, there's too much heat soak so the car slows down.

I'll be hitting the track up soon to get a gauge on where this car is at stock before I start delving into the few mods there are for these cars.

Our DA here is usually pretty good... the track is a little elevated (like 400' or so above sea level), but usually DA only crests 2000' in the middle of summer when it's hot... otherwise, this time of year, it stays below 1000' DA.

wow, that is a big diffrence; here where i am in CA, the tracks are only about 900ft above sea level (most). that would easily translate to an xtra 1 mph and another 1 to 2 tenths of a sec more.

It was 86 and 45% humidity - thats a lot of humidity for us down here in the desert. Firebird is known to be more humid because of the lake right next to the racetrack. Definitely hotter and more humid from the last 2 times to the track.

And heatsoak is terrible on these cars. The intake manifold was so farkin hot I just touched it for less than a second and it near gave me a 2nd degree burn. We either need a Titan Plastic intake manifold or an intake manifold phoenolic spacer to combat heat transfer to the incoming airstream.

I honestly will be working to get the ECU tuned so to add forced induction before I try and get anything like that

I went there and did it my result was good . The weather was horrible ( hazy, tempreature at 33 ºC and 75% humidity). And here my result:

attempt quarter mile time (seconds) quarter mile speed (km/h)1 13.8 163.512 13.7 166.57 3 13.5 170.594 13.7 164.31

Good results! That is over 100mph in every case.
