Start simple...Alot of Idle problems on cars are associated with vacuum leaks. Check the intake boots, spray carb cleaner around them (With Care) whilst the engine is running. Also spay the areas where the manifold attaches to the cylinderhead, injector bosses, all intake areas. Also check the condition of the idle speed motor if equipped. Some Japanese vehicles do not use just an idle speed solenoid but a thermostat as well. Hondas usually had this. I think some Nissans had it too especially ones from you year and model. If the thermostat is clogged, it will cause idle issues. Coolant usually runs in one side through small rubber hoses and out of the thermostat. Check to see if the entry isn't clogged or the exit is clogged. If it is too corroded, (Usually the problem) replacement might be the only fix if the car is equipped with such a system. If you have free flow, remove the thermostat and see if it is rusted or corroded all the way through.serborican wrote:ok i have a mjor idle problem....i own a 91 sentra se-r/of coarse the sr20............i have a new tps/cleaned out the MAF sensor idle screw perfect only does it when its cold tried everything even cleaning the EGR's but just dont know what to do anymore please i really need some help THANKS
