Hey All,

Just got our new 3.5 loaded Altima Coupe last week and couldn't be more pleased. I am 100% stoked we got the Navi, as it was the first time I really used one....amazing. The sound system is awesome.

We already took a road trip over the weekend and received numerous complments in the first couple days. It's definitly a head turner.

I am getting tinted windows next week. My wife doesn't want it too dark that we get pulled over. I was think 35%.....any suggestions or pics of a tinted Dark Slate Coupe.......thanks

you should go 20%. it's not too dark but lets just enough light in that you wont get pulled over.

After posting a similar question as in the OP, I was told that the lower the percentage the darker the tint. Therefore, 20% is much darker than 35% because it lets in only 20% of the UV rays.

I too would like to see pics of a dark slate along with the % tint. I'd like tint but not too dark either and saw some demos on a website. Based on what I saw, 45-50% seems good to me since it darkens the windows without over-doing it.

Congrats! The nav rocks for sure.

I went with 35% on my silver sedan and would not want to go any darker. dynot is correct - 20% is a good deal darker than 35% - for me, I would not want to compromise night-time or poor weather visibility for that darker look.

Here is my sedan, post-tint, so you can see how dark 35% is:

Hope you can stand one more opinion.I have 3 Nissans and I tinted them all.On my last one (06 Altima), I went 32% on the front and 22% on the rears. This is my suggestion. I went with 22% all around on my Sentra SE-R, and it's a little too dark on the front windows, especially at night in the rain. Looks great standing still though.I went with 32% all around on my Pathfinder, and the rear windows are nice and dark because they already had a light factory tint.Go with 32/22. You'll like it.

I use a web host for my photos and link to them directly by using the IMG and /IMG tags (in square brackets) around the url for the image. This works for just about any forum I haev ever been on.

I use fototime, but there are several to choose from, many of which are free.

Jaegar,

What tint brand did you go w/? We had Formula One Pinnacle series 35%. We had that tint before it seemed to work well w/ keeping the car cool w/ the ceramic material in the tint. Only drawback is the slight rainbow effect w/ polorized sunglasses. With the dark leather interior it seems to make sence or even a must to go w/ this tint. Plus, I guess this tint is best for the Navi, XM, ect.....could be just a sales ploy

We had a $250 credit through the dealer for the tint as part of the car purchase, but decided to apply the credit to a factory rear spoiler when they come out. I like Altima low pro spoiler I see on some of the new Altimas on the lot, hoping hey come up one similar for the Coupe. Anybody have any insight on a factory spoiler that availble in the new future for the Coupe?.....thanks

Sorry - got it installed through the dealer and didn't ask the brand name.

As for the spoiler, I wouldn't put one on the coupe. It's rear / rear three-quarter lines are its most distinctive. A spolier would make it less so, in my opinion.

I agree. A spoiler just wouldn't do this car much justice.
