So i got a new sub and amp and whenever i have it cranked my voltage drops and my amp is set to a little under half of the way up.

I am getting a new alternator soon and i figured while im at it a new battery wont hurt but im having trouble deciding.

My amp runs 2000 rms at full and i want it so i dont have a lot if ant voltage drop so i was wonder what you guys might recommend i looked at the optima but im not sure about red or yellow top.. any suggestions will help

also what kind of alternator should i look for

For audio go Yellow top Optima, and find an alternator with higher output.... there are shops out there that will take your exsisting one and up it but thats on how much money you have and what youre after.

I got my new alternator from ohio generator. 180 amp vs 105 amp oem. Got it for $400. They have a website with a contact number. I would give it to you, but i'm too lazy to get outta my recliner right now. Give them a call and they will set you up. The service was excellent with fast shipping.
