My audio shop also recommends red tops for system, yellow tops for stock audio. They told me this 1 week after I bought my yellow top when installing my wiring (of course). Either way Optima is a great line, my yellow still runs 14.4 volts on average (car running) even with the system cranked. I usually hit about 13.8V at start up.thisisjun wrote:i heard red tops are better if you have a system and such. yellow tops are just better oem replacements.
Good deal! I just went with the Gold battery from Advance Auto Parts.dldjros69 wrote:I went into advanced told the guy i wanted a red top battery and he said they were out of the. He tried to sell me the yellow top and i said that was to expensive (40 bucks more). He said if i wanted the yellow top he would honor the cheaper price. Woot got a deal! Thanks for the info guys
