New Battery or Alternator?

I'm going to be getting a DVD player and installing it on my car.Just want to know if i should get a new alternator or battery so it'll compensate for the energy usage.

check the amperage of the dvd player you'll be installing. not sure if you're adding additional amplifiers or speakers.

if your system is at the limit of the alternator, you'll have to upsize it. otherwise, if you just get a new battery, yet the alternator isn't able to keep up with the amperage, you'll drain the battery regardless.

Yeah, thats what i was thinking. I have ****ty *** speakers and just a DVD player. But i'm going to be getting some new speakers also. I'm going to get both unless i just need a stronger battery.
