new battery and starter car wont crank or turn over or start

some time around November i sent my 2004 350z to a paint shop to get an all over paint job. when i got the car painted i only got the out side of the car painted. I went and pick the car up early Febuary no start, no crank and no turn over. I had to get the car towed home.I later found out the battery went dead from sittin so i replaced the battery still no start. I got a friend to look at it he said it was the starter so he jacked the car up and tap the starter nothin. It started one time but he had to set the tirer iron on the frame of the car and tap the stater bolt that leads to the battery and it created sparks when tryed at the same time for it to start. So just recently i went and got the starter change with brand knew battery still no start. All power in the car works every thing works the car just wont start. when i go to start it i hold the clutch down and twist the key and all i get is one click. I think its the stater thats giving off the one click. Can some please give me a little insite in what this problem could be.

Have you tried pop starting?If the car starts when pop starting, then its something with the starter.What does the car do when you turn the key.....all the lights come on, radio and ac work? Does the car make ANY sound when turning the key, does it chug like its trying to start, or does it just click?
