Whoa back up kemosabe, I'm not hating on anything or anyone, but I do hate seeing people get ripped off by shops that hack their jobs. To me, that window does not look good. I have installed 3 myself and the first 2 had wrinkles, and decent vinyl isnt going to stretch enough to let wrinkles that big simply stretch themselves out and stay that way. I used a premium u/v protected marine-grade vinyl, it was .020 thinner than what ASC used but it was super strong. Before I used it, I tested it out by cutting a few 1 inch wide strips and nailed each end to a board, then I stretched it as far as I could (which wasnt far). Within about 1 minute it shrunk right back to its normal size. Heating it first let me stretch if farther, but it shrunk right back too. Decent clear vinyl doesnt stretch much. When the sun heats it up it will soften and some of the wrinkles might fall out for as long as its warm, but as it cools it will go back to where it was.
It doesnt take much error in sewing the vinyl in to make big ripples. The first one I did was only sewed about 1/8 inch off or so on one side (one of the upper corners) and the wrinkles were as large as what yours are, and after about 3 weeks they hadnt flattened one bit. I even tried a heat gun, a low temperature iron, manually stretching it in other areas, etc. On the second one I was able to adjust the top and lower frames to smooth everything out. I hope I'm wrong and yours flattens out, but if your experience is anything like mine, you'll be going back to that shop in a couple weeks. Sorry if you dont want to hear this but I'm really just trying to give you a heads up.
