They sell shifter tops and buttons, Just gotta make it work. I suggest going down to the local ricer aisle of your local pepboys.

Autofaiiilll. Even if I had a daily driver, it'd be a manual.

agreed

I DO daily a 5 speed.. what exactly would be so difficult about it? So far I haven't died or ended up in a ditch. If anything driving a manual forces you to focus on your surroundings and vehicle more, making your commute safer and more enjoyable.

I daily one too. Of course I'm not 16 yet, but it's my daily for the next 5 years or so. And manuals are a bit better than autofails. You are right it helps you focus on surroundings and the vehicle. Automatic brings laziness to a whole nother level. Plus manuals get a bit better gas mileage. Seriously OP think of doing a manual swap.

I don't see anything wrong with him wanting to daily an automatic? I just converted my car to a manual and I would rather drive a manual over an automatic any day, but I don't see anything wrong with him driving it for his daily driver if he's happy with it. He would have to drive his car for a pretty long time before the manual transmission swap would finally pay off for saving gas....actually a very long time.

As for redoing your interior, why not get some vinyl type paint and just repaint your stock one?

WOW, not quite the post i would expect from a mod.

I made a thread a year or so ago about this thing for my girlfriends car, and i got the same BS that you did about "why have a auto" as of right now we just have a 5spd center console with a recoved shift boot and it makes it look a little better, i have a broke autoshifter i will be taking apart to try and figure out a way to make a differant shifter go on it. I'm hoping to get a big pink dildo one made up for my girlfriend's car for christmas....i'll let ya know how it goes.

see that's more helpful.

With this shifter though, is there a Reverse lockout? is there any buttons or just press the brake and shift it out of gear?

Haha, how ironic that the picture posted ^ is from the mod's car that told you to quit bumping this thread (OutToWinPAHC).

Anyways, a manual transmission does get a little old for daily driving or in a car that's not meant to be "fun." ESPECIALLY in stop and go traffic. That sucks. Even more if you're on an incline.

I got tired of my OEM shifter and found this Navan on ebay. Pretty easy to install. If you get a shifter from Pep Boys ( ), you may need to relocate the O/D button. IDK.....

Just do the 5 speed swap. Problem solved and it's more fun to drive.

There's a really cool thread about a paddle shifted auto 240 somewhere on NICO.
