New and need help with my 240 I just purchased... Can't get past 2500 rpms :(

I inhereted a 240 which was sitting for about 1 year. The car ran great for a few weeks and I fell in love. Now out of the blue the car jerks very bad in any gear at 2500 rpms. It stalls as well about 50% of the time when I take it out of gear and down shift.

The car will only go 55 in 5th at 2500 rpms. Any gear is the same at 2500 rpms.

We took the gas out last night and still have the problem.

Any ideas?

I was thinking maybe an injector but I am not sure.

I once had a 240 with symptoms like that... after looking my car over the mass air flow sensor was disconnected, or bad connection.
