OMG I think I love you. People spend ungodly amounts on a cap, but yet for $100 they could get a small SVR, that has such a high discharge rate, and capacity, that it would take 1000s of Farads worth of caps to get the same results.Jemdawg wrote:Never use a capacitor, you'll just waste your money.
so i was just wondering what would happen if i were to just replace the wire to a bigger gauge?? any advantage of keeping the OEM wire there with new bigger wires??Kolk1 wrote:Dont replace wires, ADD to them. Find the positive on your ALT, then run a extra wire to the Positive post on your battery. Take another piece of wire, bolt it to the negative of your battery then bolt it to a close ground, or some close metal bolt. Then find any bolt on the engine(I used one by the ALT) and run a wire from that bolt, to a bolt on the chassis.
i meant to say replacing ALL wires with bigger wires?? alt. to battery ground chasis to battery and such? will that help out a bit if i were to replace all the wires? sorry kinda confused on why to keep the existing wire and adding bigger wire.KimberKenobi wrote:... but replacing with a bigger wire isn't going to GROUND it which was the entire point of the exercise ... thereby missing the point ... have I made that clear yet? ... about the total missage of point? ... lemme put a target on the point ... I'm good at that ;oD
