Claim 25k service life on the oil filters and 100k on the air filters. http://www.amsoil.com/StoreFront/eaa.aspx

Ea Air Filters’ synthetic nanofiber media removes 2.5 times more dust than traditional cellulose filter media alone and 50 times more dust than wet gauze filter media. AMSOIL Ea Air Filters have a service life of 100,000 miles or four years, whichever comes first.

Better Air FlowAMSOIL Ea Air Filters allow more airflow than filters that use cellulose media alone. Cellulose fibers are larger than nanofibers, and have larger spaces between the fibers, causing contaminants to load in the depth of the media and plug the airflow path, which results in higher restriction and less capacity. The synthetic nanofibers in EaA Filter media have submicron diameters and small interfiber spaces, which result in more contaminants being captured on the surface of the media and lower restriction.

More CapacityAMSOIL Ea Air Filters hold up to five times more contaminants than cellulose air filters. Since the nanofibers in the media are so small there are more pores per square inch, allowing for higher dirt-holding capacity and lower pressure drop when compared to cellulose filter media alone. Thinner media fibers produce more uniform pore size distribution, improving the filter’s overall quality and ability to capture and retain particles. Testing shows that Ea Air Filters hold 15 times more contaminants than a wet gauze type filter.

I would not put much stock in any Amsoil product claim. they are a MARKETING company ,relying on a pyramid structure to move product( they are now pushing vitamins,no less} always a sucker to want to believe in lifetime,no maintainance, miracle cure type products! next they will enter the viagra and baldness markets!

Strange they don't seem to want anyone to find out what fits a Q car... at least I can't figure it out....

Even if they are misstating the truth by 10 times that still leaves the oiled type inferior to oem paper type by a significant amount.

So they are only 5 times better not 50 times better............

I've been running Amsoil in my cars for 6+ years. I've personally had it sent out for analysis twice to an independent lab and both times the results stated that the oil was suitable for continued use (both times it had upwards of 9k miles on it) and both times the results were comparable to new oil. In Honda's national ads for their off road bikes, the Amsoil logo is more prominent on the riders chest than the Honda logo.

I'm gonna look into that air filter and when I change my Amsoil SDF13 oil filter at 6 months, I'll look into the new oil filter.

Doesn't the resulting fine oil in the air flow gum up your MAF over time?

Many GM MAF have a [hot wire sensor] burnoff cycle everytime you turn engine off for a few seconds..............works quite well............however Nissan chose not to buy the rights to this patent............because owners were expected to LEARN and have services done.
