Hi Guys,

I am a new Altima owner, hell...actually I am a first time Nissan owner! Friend of mine pointed me to this forum. I bought a 2005 Altima 2.5SL, silver w/ charcoal interior. I love it!

Welcome!

With a couple of minor exceptions we love our '05 Altima 3.5 SE. My wife's parents have had an '02 Altima 2.5 since new with no troubles and her sister has ~140K on her '97 Altima now.

Our '05 makes our 5th Nissan in the household ('92 Sentra SE-R, '98 Sentra SE, '01 Quest SE, '02 Pathfinder SE, '05 Altima SE). You should really enjoy yours.

Thanks for the welcome guys! I took a chance last week and decided to let my wife drive the Altima last week...thankfully she did not hit anything. But now she loves the car and is mad that her car isn't the prettiest anymore...lol. Oh well.

-Wow 5 Nissans? I am really impressed! Nissans must be a better car than I ever expected...no wonder Torry has been obsessed with these cars ever since I have known him.

I like my 2002 (2.5S) Altima. Yesterday I replaced all of the high/low beam headlights on the car. My wife has been complaining about how dim her car's headlights are. I replaced the low beams with Silverstars and the high beams with PIAAs. If this does not fix the problem, I will probably buy her some external driving lights to help throw more light down the road. Other than the process of replacing the bulbs being a major pain in the ***, the car has been low maintenance. If any of you need help replacing the bulbs in the third gens, please let me know. It takes some work, but its not rocket science.

Bud
