Hi, all,

Just signed onto the forums here last night and thought I would say hi to everyone on here.

In early July, I became the proud owner of a silver 2009 Altima Coupe 2.5S 6-speed, and the first Nissan I've ever owned, or even driven. I've been reading a few of the threads on here for just over a week or so now, and you guys have piqued my interest.

I have never before considered modding a car that I've owned, but I think that I'm about ready to give it a try. I want to start small with minor changes (like interior lighting swapping out incandescent bulbs for LEDs), and then perhaps moving up to more "aggressive" things later (when my budget allows, of course!).

It's really nice to see that there are places on the web like this, where auto devotées can share ideas, images, etc. I look forwarding to chatting with everyone on here. Mind you, I'm no grease monkey, and while I know the basics of automobile maintenance/upkeep, I'll in all likelihood entrust most of the physical under-the-hood maintenance to the service dept at the dealership, at least until the warranty is up).

Many time the service at the stealership will be sub-par... its best to figure out who is actually doing the work on your car. Heres the best place to ask around though!

Earlier today I ordered 6000K superwhite LED replacements for my interior lighting (dome, map, courtesy door panel) and for the licence plate lamps. I made sure to check the owner's manual and also the threads on here regarding the best choices for each. While it's a meek mod, at least I'll have pure white light in the cabin, and not crappy OEM incandescent.

Wonder why the auto industry hasn't caught up with this, one of the easiest, least expensive, and more popular of design mods.
