hey guys. just joined the message board. bought a new altima coupe 2 weeks ago. 3.5, precision grey, 6 speed manual, premium package.

anyways, i really enjoy driving the car, but i had a quick question. i am 6 feet 2 inches, and i can't seem to get the damned seat in a position where i am comfortable. lol. is anyone else my height or taller out there and having a similar experience? can't figure out if i am just used to driving my old jetta vr6 or if the seat is just not comfortable for someone my size. lol. any insight u can offer would be much appreciated.

lol im 6 foot 9 in tall and i fit

Ok to strat

1. push the seat all the way back2. lower it into the floor "dont know how to really say that"3. Set the top of the seat back4. Use the telescoping steering wheel to its advantage MOST IMPORTANT, pull it out and up.....

welcome!

my bf is 6'3" and him being able to fit in the A/C was one of the reasons for pulling the trigger 2 months ago myself

he usually first puts the seat all the way down and then tilts the seat more towards the back (by lifting th front up i guess), he also adjusts the back to be pretty laid back

my suggestion would be to try following that, if it doesn't work out let me know and i can ask him to chime in

You can fit taller people in the driver seat than the passenger or rear seat due to the 8 way adjustable seat.

I recommend lowering the seat as low as it can go, then adjusting the front tilt (same control) until your thighs are comfy, grip the steering wheel at this time how you normally would (I use one hand on the steering wheel, one on the shifter) and use the forward/back to scootch the seat forward or back until its comfortable, then finally adjust your back support-- lean up/back first and then the center "bulge" last for comfort.

I have never sat in a more comfortable car. Then again, I have the 3.5SE with leather seats. OMG are these seats perfect for my back!! My only complaint is that I wish the head rest came forward a bit more as I like to lean back when driving.

Boce welcome!

Dont worry im sure you will figure out the seat with a little work... Phenom gets out of the car and you look inside to see if theres a hidden compartment the kids so tall lol...

Doc ur a riot... I had to take my (my bosses ahem) XK8 to get some work done on it... its stock but low as hell and the windows are rinky-dink size... i had to merge and i went to look over my left shoulder when i hit my head on the window lol

Thanks for the tips. I think i am just obsessing over it now. i keep messing with the damned thing every time i am in the car. lol. i am just happy i was lucky enough to find a manual transmission. i was going to buy the honda accord coupe. but couldn;t find any manuals. the dealer called me saying he got one in. i went up the next day with all intentions of buying it, but someone stole all the tires off of it and smashed the windows in the night before. let's just say i was a little frustrated. then, i started calling around for the nissan in manual and everyone acted like i was crazy.

I'm in the Baltimore area almost once a month, keep me posted when you guys meet and I might be able to schedule one of my trips around then.
