Is the wood original along with the chrome trim on the sides? Just wondering if these were options not available in 08? Or maybe not on an XS like mine.audtatious wrote:

Not complaining or anything of that order, but if factory would the wood not be on the doors and the trim in places such as the glove box area? Curious as on the models I did take at for test drives (again 08s) that did have wood it was also in these areas. I sort of like the mix on yours.audtatious wrote:Yeah, that was from the factory on the '07.
I agree. I just have to wait a bit to get over the "hit" to my checkbook (and convince the wife since the '35 is her car)RED_DET wrote:they look better on the sedan than the coupe...
You know, the more I look into this car the more I wonder what the previous owner did to it. You are correct, from looking at the factory wood-trim pictures they had wood trim going around the dash and down the doors. This one does not and has the wood trim on the air vents which I don't think was an option with the factory setup. This leads me to believe it is actually an aftermarket trim kit that is installed. I'll have to look at it more closely next time I'm in it.pfarmer wrote:

I was thinking of making my own for my other car by steaming for the curves making full replacements for the factory plastic trim. I saw one with this and while a lot of work, the result really gave the custom touch to it.

As far as the chrome there actually are kits for this as well. It looks good.audtatious wrote:

Also, while I know the G had chrome around the windows I have realized they didn't have _that much_ showing. The previous owner removed the black film off the B pillar and the small section of the back window.
I think you can purchase these parts as chromed replacements. On another vehicle:audtatious wrote:Thanks
From what I it looks like it has had the black removed and not chrome added.
Car was dropped off Tuesday with Infiniti again since the SES popped on 15 minutes after picking it up last week. This time they were able to diagnose the problem and order the proper parts. Should have better/smoother acceleration now.
