Added the iPad to the Versa...mounted it using Ram mounts and a ProClip iPad holder to the lid above the Radio so the iPad can swing up to access the bin if need be....it has 3G so I'm able to have Netflix stream movies while traveling (for the passenger of course!) and with XM..Pandora...iTunes....TomTom...and Traffic all helping make the drives a little easier/faster/safer. Im waiting for the double din that Scosche will be bring out later this year http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5SkltRqO ... r_embedded.

oh man...how can a car pc compare to this. I wish it could be more integrated into the dash, maybe a flush mounted kit would be nice but there would be no way it would fit around the air vents

Personally it looks goofy to me and says "come break into my car" but that's just me. I'd like it more if apple had made it a little smaller and it didn't stick out so much. :gotme Don't get me wrong though. The idea is awesome. But in the end it doesn't seem that practical.

First...hope everybody is having a great Memorial Day and don't forget the Men and Women that have/are serving in our Armed Forces and those that have given there lives.

Now, the iPad is in a cradle so it pops in and out (Tango1 has seen it so he could chime in) so I only have it in there when I'm going on the road not when parked and I use it for business so I take it in with me to meetings etc. and on the road it has been a life saver since there are times when I travel up to two hundred miles a day and with the TomTom app and the Traffic app it has saved me sometimes an hour in the commute (Remember LA is a crowded City!) helping me get around a accident or just plain traffic jam. Second....it has iTunes/Pandora/Radio/Skype etc. for the commute and if there is a passenger they can if desired watch a movie or TV Show...so it's practicality is endless.

Now check out the youtube video I put in the first post....it will be a double din assy. that replaces the radio and has a pivot for the iPad cradle so that one can move it around and it will be able to plug into the Versa System so it will use your speakers in the car...this is what I am waiting for.

I think it's one of those things were you have to actually see it in action to fully understand it's function and what I really like....it's future possibilities.....can't wait.....don't forget this thing has only been out a couple of months so give the developers a chance to go crazy with it. ;)

I saw the video. It's a neat way to connect it to the car but it's just still not something I would do to my car :gotme . People around here are known to even steal little $80 GPS units from cars much less something like an iPad. I know you can just take it off but I don't wanna have to take off something every time I leave my car. Also, how does it go through the car system with that double-din kit in the way? Is the radio relocated somewhere else? Is the kit itself an amp to the speakers?
