An interesting English language description of the new Citroen C5's active suspension. Using a technology for the accumulators (aka spheres) that makes the valving "nitrogen impermeable," along with a 100% synthetic fluid, the factory claims the system is maintenance-free for 120,000km.While we know that the active suspension President is still sold, I wonder if we will ever see a true second generation of the technology, or will Nissan just quietly allow it to die at some point. Will Renault give Peugeot-Citroen permanent bragging rights to the most advanced suspension?http://www.citroen.mb.ca/citro....html

Too many people complain when they have to spend $4,000- $6,000 for the 72,000 mile tune up {"the factory claims the system is maintenance-free for 120,000km"}with a true active system!

Even the LS400 Air Ride owners whine at a $4,000 bill - what's this world coming to.

Q owners complain about changing shocks every 60k for less than a thousand.

Sometimes it's better to just have a plain old fashion suspension.
