Does anybody out there in NICO-land know where one might procure a "new" a/c comp. for a 1991 240sx. Remanufactured units are plentiful(but, I don't trust them, to many bad experiences,..........and, besides,.... this is Phoenix !!)but, so far, despite my efforts, I'm beginning to believe that I may sooner find osamma ben-ladens current address(complete w/zip code and cell # !)before I find a new Calsonic V5-15G.(compr. #) ....Anybody ?? Thanks. P.S. Allow me to clarify the,.."But it's a dry heat" thing. It does work when it's 90 degrees, maybe 95, but after 110 one does what comes naturally,....Sweat!!

Dealer?

I KINDA need a new one too. I got a used one and it doesn't work that well. Btw, it's $450 at the dealer, just for the compressor.

$250 at vatozone

Btw, where in Phx do ya live?

I haven't checked the dealer yet (I was afraid to), but, if I get desperate...it's nice to know. (I think?) Thanks........edit 7/22/09.............Upon, yet another inquiry, to the dealer(mid-way nissan, Phx.)their pt#92600-53f 25(1991 240sx a/c compressor), carrys a price tag of $702.65.($450.00 didn't sound right, after all, napa's rebuild unit is $416.00) Auto zone, however, listed their unit @ $192.99, but only offers a 90 day warranty. (90 days ??) Hopefully my homework will prove beneficial to others but, so far, it ain't doin a thing for me.....Anybody ?? [in reply to your question, north phx., shadow mt. area, the mountain, not the school]

Well,........It's been over two weeks, it was worth a shot. No problem, this forum's (members) still one of the best "Go-To" sources when the gremlins are loose. Next time................Aloha.
