Hey everyone,
I am back after a decade of not having a S chasis. Im a vegas local, so if you too are also in vegas let me know maybe we can meet up.
so 2005 i bought a 95 240sx off a stripper. long but funny story. if you want to hear that let me know and ill be happy to explain that one. so i got the 95 240 sx for $1000. it had 68k on the odo and it was an auto. reason she was selling it was the overdrive was going out. no problem as i had plans to do an SR swap. so i picked up the car. went to the bank got a 8k loan and stopped by a local shop. that shop was called Trev Tec. i dropped the 8k on his desk told him the parts i wanted and to make it happen.
after 2 months of checking in weekly and several shop visits all that was done was a pile of parts in his shop. no problem this was a second car as i had my camaro at the time. a couple more weeks go by and i get a call from the Las vegas fire dept. they asked if this was my car in his shop. i told them it was and i was told to come pick it up as his shop was being condemned. i guess he did not have a shop license and when asked about the cars he said they were all his.
so i went and picked up my car and all my parts. after not finding very much info and no other shops even knowing about this swap i decided to abandon the project and i sold the car and all the parts to this guy who lived in Henderson with a sweet gold s14 that had the loudest KA i think i have ever heard. If that was you hit me up. i always regretted selling it off and never completing it.
well 12 years later i found what i think was one of the cleanest unmolested 240's i've seen and decided to give this a second go around. so i just purchased a 95 S14. it has no engine no trans no ecu and no wiring harness. and for what i paid i think i stole the car.
Now the big question is throw a KA and 5 speed in it to drive it around for the next year while i acquire all the SR parts to do the swap or park it for a year or longer while i get all the parts. thoughts???+
ill post pics when i figure out how to do that
