Thought I'd give a hello to all the old Nissan pickup owners out there. I just purchased a 1985 720 2WD with the Z24 motor and auto transmission. Motor has 103,000 KM's on it (approx 55,000 Miles) for $750 Canadian. Body is in bad shape though, nothing a little hard work won't clean up!

I'll post some pictures tomorrow (or later tonight) so you can see what I am up against

I don't think it will be a mint shape restoration as it's only meant to be a parts truck while I fix up my Sileighty but knowing me.....

If anyone could give me some tips I'd appreciate it! Especially in the "parts distributors" department.

Thanks for the source PEZ.

Got a small amount done today at ripping it apart. The bumper bolts are fastened with lock nuts that are rusted together and I didn't have my good tools with me, so the disgrace is still there. This thing is a little more rough than I thought, so it looks like I'll have to order more sheet metal than anticipated. As promised, some pictures:

And one of my car:(there should be at least one respectable picture in this thread XD )

Yeah, I'm familiar with the 240sx side of things, if it weren't for this site I don't think I could have accomplished my SR swap haha.

As for the cancer, it is very much an ugly sight. I live in Saskatchewan Canada and we get a lot of snow and crappy weather. Parts would be handy indeed. I'm looking for two doors, two front fenders and two rear taillights atm if you have.

I have phoned every auto wrecker in the area and had no luck Aftermarket taillights are 50 each plus shipping :/

I'm also wondering if there are any parts that are transferable among similar models. For example, the Hardbody taillights or doors etc.

Any one know the best way to ship doors or bulky items in general?

If UPS won't do it, it may have to go by truck, the only company I can think of off hand is TST overland Express or maybe Bison Transport, but I think Bison only deals with corporations.

I have an old driver side windshield and a carb with a sticky choke.also found an 85 720 at my local junkyard in oregon. for a small fee I might be able to yard the parts you need. The doors were banged up but i couldnt see through them like yours. lol i believe all the taillight assy were there. My 720 has cancer, but not near as bad as yours haha. I might be able to ship it usf reddaway, or you can call shinglehouse wreckers @ 1-877-544-1975. they have a website but it sux. as for interchanging years, 83-85 pretty much matches up, but after that nissan went with efi and changed to the hardbody.

Good to see some 720 support going out.

Kira-Hachi, make a "build thread" then you can document the truck.

Make a needed parts list, I will see what I have in stock.
