I am the proud new owner of a 1985 720 standard cab long bed -Z24 - and if the odometer is right it has less then 150,000 miles, it runs like it has low miles even after sitting up for 5 years ( the previous owner cranked it weekly) . I traded a 6 cylinder Chevy motor for it. Plans for are still up in the air, I would like to lower it a couple of inches but I worry about still being able to haul some with it. I will try and get some picture this weekend. I do have a problem and would like to see if anyone can help. When the truck was sitting up someone stole all the fuses out of the fuse block under the dash and there are missing fuses and apparently they took the fuse block cover for it too. I have some missing and the wonderful Chilton manual I purchased just says to refer to the fuse block cover. Does anyone have or can take a picture of the fuse block cover?
Aa idea I was thinking abut for paint was a flat black and flat dark purple two tone . Any thoughts would be great.

welcome man! i'm about to change my oil, so while i'm out there i'll grab pic of the fuse block cover for ya.

paint? i'm a fan of flat black... that's why i did mine that way lol. if you choose that route, do it carefully, do it with the right paint, and be aware its NOT easier to take care of than regular paint.

Thanks for the quick response, what type of paint did you use? I have painted a few cars over the years just never did using flat paint And thanks for getting the picture

Where are you located? I believe I have a few of those covers, and if you are not on the north or south side of Timbucktu I could probably send you one.
