Step 1: Find an R32 differential... Check! Bought one from jamesmost

Step 2: Pay for said R32 differential... Check! PayPal is great

Step 3: Order new companion flange...Check! Cheryl at Scottsdale is a sweetheart.

Step 4: Order transmission speedo pinion gear for J30... Check! Again, Cherly took care of me.

Step 5: Clean up diff, and check pinion lash, etc...This is gonna be fun, and take a little time.

Step 6: Order new synthetic fluid and re-fil diff

Step 7: Polish aluminum diff cover

Step 8: Swap that sucker out!

Step 9: Head to the drag strip, to see if it hurts or helps me.

Step 10: Buy new rear tires

Here is a picture of what I think I need for the R32 diff to fit my car:

I guess the transmission pinion gear for the speed sensor (turbine revolution sensor) is this part:

TRS is not part of speed sensor, it is to control turbine speed for proper shift etc. Speedo gear is at the end of the transmission housing. If you ever want to replace Turbine Revolutuion Sensor, You'll have a lot of fun!I've done it on my Y33 (leaking). Cheers!

Far Fetched is correct. Turbine sensor feeds TCU for shifts.

You need to replace the VSS (vehicle speed sensor)... ITs on the back of the trans, real easy to replace.

Do you have a picture of the Z32 Differential?? I thought it was a J30 Differential you bought. So you added the companion flange and speedo and that's it? I thought James had done some things to that differential you bought? Shoot me an email because my adapter plan turned out to expensive and I have a Z32 differential already.

Never mind. It's from a R32 Skyline from Japan. Speedo would be from the J30. Companion flange from Joe. I got confused from all the possible 4:08 rear ends to try.
