I could draw up a diagram if you want but basically I have a SPDT relay wired to trigger from the kick down switch. It opens the wire going into the TCU from the dropping resistor. Can't remember the exact wire, I'll have to look it up.

Tonight I rigged up a 100 ohm pot with a 33 ohm resistor in parallel with it to provide me with a 25 ohm pot. I plan to disconnect the relay and wire up this pot and start out at around 5 ohms and increase it a little at a time and compare the shift firmness. I want to take the resistance as high as I can without getting the trans malfuction message. Hopefully within the limits it will shift firmer.

With the 4.08 cruise is around 2250 rpm. Going to have to consider that TC option. What the recommended one to get and how much for the part.

Awesome James. Regarding the potentiometer, it didn't work. I need to put my ammeter on that circuit and see what the amps are. The 1/4watt resistor I had in parallel with the pot cooked when I had it wired in. Need some higher wattage resistors to test with or get a 2 or 3 extra OEM dropping resistors to wire in series to see if that works.

Hopefully I will be able to decipher the JWT TCU. That would be really cool.
