new 3g iphone charging

I bought the new 3 g iphone and it does not charge in my g37 coupe, my old generation iphone charged okay.Anybody with solutions to how to solve this problem. Car charger will not do,since you can not intergrate the system to the car.

Welcome to NICO! Not sure why it's not charging...are you using the cig lighter adapter? Does the phone charge with other cars?

I am using the ipod adapter ,and the iphone does charge with another car.

From what I can tell there are numerous people with a wide range of cars having this problem. I also saw where home audio people are having the same issue in that they can use it with other systems but it won't actually charge the phone.

If you find a solution (or if anyone else has one) then let us know.

Plug another device charger into your 12v socket in your G to confirm that works. In my 2006 the ignition must be in the accessory position or the vehicle must be running to have 12v present in the socket.Test the 3 G charger in another vehicle to confirm it works. If not return and exchange it.

I think part of it is that for some systems, it can't determine whether the device can utilize the power that USB offers and this has to do with programming and support (I think). There's an array of USB devices that will charge in some places but not in others.

That is why I don't have an Iphone.

Everyone that has one tells me bad stories about it.

Maybe it is just in the rag sometimes?
