I never thought I'd own one of these cars. Until the day i found a good one for sale, whilst shopping for another car. It's a 1993 Nissan 300ZX 2+2 5-speed with 52,439 original miles. It's a one owner car that had been garage kept and babied its whole life. The car is bone stock with no modifications to the engine or interior with original stereo even. The interior has never been smoked and is charcoal grey leather and it is wear free with no rips, tears, burns, cuts, and still has the original floor mats all carpet is in excellent condition.

The body has the original paint that is free of scratches, nicks, and only a couple small dings. The body is strait, with no signs of damage to the bumpers, doors, quartet panels etc no accident.

tl;dr I named the car BlackWidow the car is good.

Thanks BigDogg, I plan on doing my own maintenance :) to the car, I don't have money now to do any mods though. I'd like to keep it as factory looking as possible though so any mods I would do would be engine swap or mechanical. I read a lot that its a waste of time and money to swap a NA to a turbo, but I favor the 2+2 over a 2+0. Just personal preference. :)

Never a waste of time and money to convert to a TT. Welcome, nice looking Z!

Nice car, love the leather interior! More pics please if possible
With only 53k and that good of a shape, I'd put the original rims back on and call it a day as far as modifications go. I'll admit, I've have been a sucker lately for bone stock 300ZX.
I'll use your car to ask a question that I've had for awhile now. Thinking long term, will a low mileage NA currently in the OP's condition that only has a TT swap worth more than a bone stock NA in the same condition? We will assume that the TT swap was done by professionals with quality parts, no corners cut. Basically how much is the swap affecting the collectible value of the car?

thx guys @ Afi I can upload some better pics when I get the time to detail her. I guess the value in these cars are going to be driven by street value. Like all cars that are collectable the current street value is going to flux based on popularity, rarity, and will be all about condition. Most the people who have Zs are not selling them and ones for sale usually are more likely to be moded Zs and Zs in poor condition. Finding a Z in good condition without mods for sale is rare, so those cars are going to bring higher values.

I do not think swapping a NA to a TT would devalue the car if the motor had low miles and was mostly OEM parts without mods. Thats just my opinion.

Btw what is with all the hating I keep reading about towards 2+2? Yeah I know its not a TT but lol If I wanted to go fast It wouldn't be in a 300zx it would be in a GT-R. I just want to have a slick looking car and a black 2+2 is just that.

1. I can lay back in the power seat.
2. The back is cramped but I'm pretty sure I can fit a girl back there or another passenger. :chuckle

^ Some people just think it looks to long... I personally like how the look and I would have one if they had came in a TT in the US market.

I love the 2+2 look. In fact, when I get the urge, in a few years, to build another, it will be a tt swap into a 2+2. The lines in the back are mucho sexy. Some of the rants are from guys who try to argue the concept of weight and size for racing purposes. Truth be told, 99% of them are posers, so just ignore ;)

+1 Its not too long, Its just right. Especially not too long by todays standards. Look at any modern rarce car and look how long the tail is. 2+2 is still shorter. Besides it helps to have more weight in the back on a Rear wheel drive car. Ya I realize purists think Z isnt supposed to have 4 seats. Just take the back seats out done, now you have a 2 seater thats front seats recline and has proper weight distribution for a rear wheel drive car as capable as a Z.

Ummm sidebar, what are your regulations on RHD cars? I have a '93 300zx tt jdm 5-speed twin turbo and I honestly couldn't be happier with it even with the rhd. I'm in Canada though. Just see no talk if them from this forum and thought it might be taboo?

Don't listen to the "TT 2+0 is best" fanbois. I think the 2+2 looks better, especially when lowered. I miss my 2+2 a lot already. I just sold it to MellowS13 on here, but I couldn't feasibly take both cars cross country with me. You've got a clean Z there. Keep her nice. :dblthumb:
