my altima was destroyed in a hit and run 3 weeks ago. It was a 2001 altima gle fully loaded w/ intake, header, exhaust about 3000 in other upgrades. it was my baby girl. the car retained much of its value so i went looking for a 300zx and found hundreds in fair condition/great condition. but all were 150,000+ miles. on sunday i picked up my local paper and the only nissan in there was a black 300zx 1003,000 miles non turbo automatic.i called the guy , he was about 52 years old, bought the car brand new in 1990. the exterior/interior are almost perfect. its not manual but i took it around for a few blocks and it was so much faster than my altima. love at first ride. according to the seller it was garage kept. and the paint only validates his claim. smooth idle, runs strong, felt a slight slip from first to second but not a consistant slip. the engine is pretty dirty though, however this may be a good sign. some dumb asses spray water all over the engine to make their sale, and in the prosses run the risk of damaging electronic components. any way, is this a good deal at $4,900?

Ill give u a head start

Price sounds pretty fair. Around five grand is a good deal for a clean well kept NA.

Price sounds about right, although it may be a little high for an automatic.

Beware on cleaning the engine. It is really sensitive to water and cleaner. Please be careful

thanks man. i know,i'll have to do it by hand. its worth the effort if you really dig your car. minimal water of course. any suggestions? not going to upgrade anything at this time i must first have my buddy and i, do a check to see if every thing is kosher. trying to upgrade a less than perfect operating engine is a recipe for dissapointment.would you not agree? HAILS!!!
