thanks

SUSPENSION AND BRAKES.

Then stickers, wing and knockoff body kit on 19's with rubberband tires and a very liberal amount of parts whose color begins with "neon."

Despite what Buud says, we don't generally advocate stickers, bookshelfs (or wings/spoilers, depending on your point of view), or "bling-bling dubs yo" on our cars. ;-)

But yeah, go for suspension and brakes first. 300ZX brakes are the most popular option in terms of brakes, and they do in fact work very well (or so I am told). You have quite a few options when it comes to suspension, from simple strut/shock/spring upgrades, to full blown coilover systems, in appropriate price ranges. Do those, and you'll be happy you have them when you get your power mods added. ;-)

Pay no attention to Mr. Buud. He's the local horsesass. Seriously.

The first thing I would do is make sure the car is in top condition mechanically and then I would go to driving school. There is more in that car than you realize. You can then identify the weakest areas and address those first. And it's a hell of a lot of fun.

There is also a plethora of information to be found by paging through the forums and using the search function.

And again, welcome!

i say you put on some spinners :ylsuper

haha

actually my best advice is come here often and read read read :)thats what i been doing every day since i joined NICO and i leanred much about my car :) even made new friends and even hang out with one on a daily basis :) Follow what repo man said, make sure its in top shape. then go on to add the real modifactions. you can start out with the basics, if you plan on doing a swap, i dont sugegst puttin mods on the KA24DE because you are just wasting money seein you will be changing it soon. For the KA24DE you can buy a few nice mods though, for starters i would get a injen intake then save up an get an exhaust system.... a real one, not just a tip :P Apexi N1 seems to be the choice exhaust for the NICO members. When I first had my old S13 The way I would search for new mods was actually going on Cardomain.com and looking what everyone else had. Gave you ideas, and brandnames of the item :) Hope i helped Have funwith your car man :)

I say you listen to repoman. Get it running good first. Do a tune up, oil change, rotate the tires, etc etc. Then, start with the mods. Personally, I say start with suspension. Then brakes. Then speed, if you want. By making it look "better" I hope you dont mean bodykit, huge spoiler, etc. Please, none of that nonsence. It is useless and gaudy. 240's deserve better then that :) Granted, there are a *very very* few 240's that look good with kits, but, most likely yours wouldn't, so just dont do it :D

I also recomend you read the FAQ's, DIY's, and use the "search" button a whole whole lot, which makes it easier on the mods basically because we dont want to answer your n00b questions, ones that we, and other people have already answered numerous times. So, search, and you will be blessed. Hope you enjoy NICO, and good luck w/ the s13!

like repo man and 95silviase said, make sure it runs perfectly first, becuase then when you start doing bigger modifications little things that you did not take car of could really cost you.

dont just concentrate on the bolt ons, look to do some 'bolt off' mods. rear seats, AIV, tar, clutch fan. all in faq, stickies here and 240sx.org and such.
