Well, I've been lurking on this site since before I could even drive. When I was about 14-15 I wanted a 240sx, but I couldn't find one for a good price that I liked, and I didn't read too much and I figured they were unreliable. There was a 1997 240sx for sale with low miles and 5 speed the same day I decided to buy my 1997 Acura Integra. I always regretted not buying that car because of how rare they are I joined the site finally a couple of weeks ago to read a little more about the car.
Well, I saw a 1998 240sx with 70k miles on Craigslist a couple of months ago. I wanted it, but I was still driving the Integra. My Integra had quite a few problems, but I didn't want to sell it still. Well, 2 weeks or so ago I was browsing Craigslist again and I saw the 240sx again. I figured, well, might as well email him and see what's up. Apparently he had 2 deals fall through and that was the reason it was still for sale. Some guy even put a deposit down, but disappeared.
Last night, after emailing the seller back and forth for a couple of weeks, I finally test drove and inspected the car. It's a lot different from my Integra, but nothing that I won't get used to and definitely nothing that's bad. I love the car in every way, it looks nice, drives nice, and performs nice (and has torque!!). Well, after checking out the car, I am the proud new owner of a 1998 240sx with 70,000 miles.
Here is a link of the previous seller's pictures:

I do have a question though. I noticed this weird wrapped thing on the front side of the motor under the valve cover:
I traced it to the distributor, and the other side goes somewhere to the intake side of the motor. is this? Thanks for anyone that can answer that for me.
The only flaws with the car are a rock chip in the headlight and a couple of very very minor dings from hail damage a long time ago, but the hail damage is really not noticeable at all.
