I had the same problem with my driver side strut tower as you, but mine was much worse. Just finished fixing it Friday. It'll be cool to see how your car turns out.

How do you get the engine block so clean and shiny?

A simple degreaser or sandblasting?

Well the head was cleaned with a tooth brush and brake clean. The block was done the same way but was also primed and painted with engine enamel. it works great and doesn't chip or anything really easily.

yay it didn't rain all day, so i worked on it..for over 10 hour straight..didn't get much done though cuz i work slow. ha

I got my intercooler piping all done, except i need another 2in' coupler for my turbo.. and a 2in to a 2.5in...

The piping didn't really fit very well...I felt upset about that..but its on i'm just a little worried of the piping to come off..well see.

i wired up my z32 maf..hopefully i wired it right. lol

I also got my intake cut, so it fits perfectly now. Got my battery wired up dash in cluster in battery works power works...waiting on my flywheel which comes in tomorrow!!

So thursday morning i'm going to completely finish wiring up my gauges finish putting the dash in and all that good stuff.. few more little things to do and its ready to go..

also where do i put the vacuum for the bov? so confused. lol

I also got my gauges wired up mostly. Got my cluster and all my dash stuff installed mostly. I got all my grounds done intakes finished etc. Its coming along...also got my flywheel back from the machine shop..so its gonna be happening! :D

lol haven't updated this in a little bit.. ugh where to start.

the last 4 or 5 days have been a hell hole. Everything that COULD go wrong...did.

I started out with sat morning..got threw the morning doing minor stuff then twards the middle getting a lot of stuff done..oh wait..nvm no i didn't.

I went to put my flywheel and clutch in and found out my pilot bearing was shot to hell and back...so it took us 3 or so hours getting that out...and then bolted the clutch and flywheel in..thats all for saterday. Sunday...I put the transmission driveshaft in and tried starting it...First...grounds.

I couldn't get a good ground at all, it was horrible. omg.

Then...It was dumping fuel into the engine. Like if i hook up my walbro the car just dies. so we thought maybe the tune was bad...well dismorning i found out the jwt 300 maf guide is backwards. ugh...then i had a miss in cylinder 3. got fuel..got spark...thought it was maybe a bent valve or something...

Just had to twist the distributor a little and it started working..wow

And for suspension...I need a lca brace tie rod..well i couldn't get the lca off of the car so i left it on...and then found out ONLY 1 of my calipers are good..the other 3 are completely bad.

Now I got all my rims rotors brakes calipers etc on.

Car does have a slight miss, nothing horrible but my dads bring his timing light home tomorrow so well see if the timings off.

Also..my radiator never leaked before this..but now its POORING out coolant...and one of my coolant lines for my turbo are leaking..no big deal except its in the back of the engine and VERY hard to reach...ugh

Oh well...ordering kyb's and 2in drop springs. going to order an sr20 2 row radiator..and thats about it for now...rest is just putting little s*** together. and then onto the track! :D

lol They're not that good..but better then stock..I had to buy tuner lugs to put them on..I was actually shocked about the fitment.. The rears stick out maybe a half inch out the q panels..

Tomorrow I'm going to gap some new plugs, see if they still turn black after 5 minutes of running.. Buy my 2in drop springs with kyb struts...Maybe rad. umm...idk..I'm giving it a bath tomorrow...s*** is so dirty. lol

As for pictures..sorry I was tired last night.
