new 240 need help please
i jus bought a 93 240 with the ka24de in it... it has no interior has a bumper bar but no cover, bondo on the rear driver side quarter panel a little bit of rust and has a lot of wiring problems. the fuel injector jus started leaking again and the motor shakes alot it has around 191xxx miles on it. it doesnt need a key to start it uses three switches you flip up and push a button to start. i dotn have a head unit and i think the exhaust is leaking again. im also missing a few motor bolts on the top of the head, (were the sparkplugs go) and i dont kno to much about cars.. the hoses are all cracked a little bit and im jus starting to learn about working on cars.. id like some tips on the ka24de and the different problems that could be wrong with me 1st cylinder fuel injector(the only one leaking) when it was leaking before we draind the oil in an oil change and got close to 5 gallons of gas and oil mixed. someone pls help me if you can send me all tips possible!! i want her to run so i can put a turbo on her pls help someone..
I hope you didn't pay much for that...
1. Wiring issues, if the damage to the wiring is as extensive as I think it is after your description, it'll be cheaper to find someone parting out their 40 and then buying the wiring harnesses and then doing checks across that harness to ensure the wiring is still decent and that there's continuity and no shorting.
2. Get a bumper cover and don't forget the energy absorbing foam behind the cover infront of the rebar.
3. get a new muffler put in at a local muffler shop.
4. Leaking injector, is it leaking at the pintle or at the o-rings?
5. Nuts for the valve cover, go to your hardware store. get one as a sample and match the thread pitch and size there if you can get the nuts. Otherwise find someone parting or call the dealer.
6. It's a almost 15 years old and chances are, the hoses were probably never replaced. Go to your auto parts store and start buying and replacing hoses for your car.
7. oil and gas, fix that leaking injector(s) and see if that problem persists.

i only paid 300 for her and the injector i havnt been able to pull off because the screws are messed up so i gotta figure someway to get them out and its jus spraying out were it connects to the fuel rail the motor shakes alot i think that might be why it broke and leaked.. im not too sure i gonna go try and find some replacement parts for it and then start tryin to rebuild it and get some performance mods done
