Hi all,

This is my first Nissan vehicle and my first new car ever. So far I am pretty impressed with the handling and acceleration and am really enjoying driving it. Reading the reviews I never would have imagined the car to be as sporty as it is. I have a couple of questions though that maybe others can answer:

1- The chimes for blind spot warning, lane departure, speeding, etc are relatively quiet. Is there a way to raise the volume of these? Playing music at moderate volume almost completely drowns them out.

2- I noticed that auto climate control always has the vents blowing to the floor. On my rogue, the floor vent setting is very loud to the point where you can hear it over music at moderate volume for anything above 2 out of 7 bars on the fan speed gauge if air is circulating internally and 3 out of 7 if air is coming externally. Most of the noise seems to be coming from air hitting the closed dash board defrost vents. Is it unusually loud for others or is it just me?

3- Does Nissan typically provide any software updates for the nav units down the line? I know they have paid map updates, but I want to know if the software will be updated. It seems slow at times and the interface can be intuitive. It seems to randomly stop reading my USB drive.

Edit: To add to #3, I also noticed that it will randomly stop detecting my USB flash drive, sometimes in the middle of playing a song... on totally smooth pavement, too. My old junk Dual stereo did not have this issue. They really need to improve the software for the nav/audio unit on these.
