NEW 2012 EX

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Just traded my 2011 G37S Coupe - loaded, for a 2012 EX35 - Deluxe Touring, Premium, with cross bars and Illuminated Kick plates. I got hit in the rear twice in my 2,100 miles in the G - so decided I needed a break.

We also have 2012 FX35 - and previoulsy I had a 2008 G35S Sedan - LOVED it!

I've been all over the other forums...this one is new and then only real EX forum i can find.

For some reason when i try and view posts with pics - i just get a spinning ball.I'm guessing unlike other forums - they have to be hosted somewhere. A bit antiquated if that's the case.

Anyway - will post pics soon.

Yes, WELCOME! This forum is THE forum for the EX. It is slowly growing.

I get that spinning ball sometimes too (when the photo on a post is trying to load)... I wonder if that just means photobucket is down, or if it is a setting on one of my computers?

Anywhoo - bummer about the G37S. That is a wonderful engine and a gorgeous coupe..., but I think the EX is the best looking SEDAN in the line-up. You will be happy.

Welcome! After you have a chance to put some miles on it, consider giving us a read out on how the EX compares to your other Infiniti experiences, since you've had such a wide range. I picked up a 2011 leftover awd Journey equipped like yours. My G37 xS (2010) sedan was totalled from the side. Much as I loved the G I decided to get something a little higher and more visible, as well as utiitarian. I've known several people to get hit in Gs. A colleague was rear ended a few weeks after getting her sedan. Makes me wonder if they are accident magnets.

Welcome aboard!

Pics that are hosted elsewhere might take a while to load (not a forum issue). Pics hosted here load instantaneously.

We're definitely the only EX forum with any traffic, and there's a TON of EX members who simply lurk - too busy enjoying their drive? :)

BTW, make sure you're running your browser in "compatibility mode" and it's updated - We've got a LOT of diverse content, and lots of custom tweaks, and they don't always "play nice" with some browsers.

Looking forward to seeing pics of the EX!!!

Welcome to the former G coupe owners to new EX owners clan. I admit I miss some of the kick my couple gave me, but I've been able to use the EX for more trips due to it's flexibility.
Try to enjoy and not over analyze.

I have 275/40R19 in the rear. Its a really big patch of rubber back there.
The matching rolling diameter for front is 245/45R19.

Those are about the largest that would fit in there

EX-KAT - thanks for the reply. After doing some research i agree - 275-40 is the largest i will go on the stock 19x8.5s. I'm putting a 15mm spacer on, and with the 275's i should have the desired effect of a bit more butch looking stance.

I just didn't want to upsize to 20's - so this is my solution. And my tires are so new that it will only cost me a few hundred dollars for the switch out.
